My non-profit, STEM Ignite, was opportuned to work along GirlUp and Kennedy Ludger YES Alumni in Cameroon to offer a 3 day FREE coding camp to 20 high school girls. The coding camp ran from December 27th to December 29th.
During the camp the girls were introduced to web development via freecodecamp interactive sessions where they learned about HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
At the end of the camp, I seized the opportunity to brief them on cloud technologies and gave them an overview of AWS cloud technologies and possible career paths in the cloud.
The 3 day code camp ended on a high note with the girls uploading their code to the cloud and highly motivated to pursue cloud careers.
